this week we designed buildings in a virtual reality space.

we used tilt brush by google to paint inside virtual space and create structures.

craft/concept/compostion craft: after the cut of the trophy and assembled it, sanded it, and painted it .then we set a thin layer of glaze over the surface to give it a nice coat and to protect it. concept: the trophy stands sturdy and has a slight shine to it. its a piece that can easily fit on a shelf or cabinet in a house. its a decently small size. the base in 4x2 inches and the trophy logo stands 6 inches tall. composition: the way i set up the trophy was to have the base be smaller than the logo. I wanted people to see the logo first then the base. The base holds the information of what the award stands for and also the name of the person who will receive it.

5 sketches about 3d printing

The first week the class was divided into three groups. one group formed a team on a vr headset, another on a 3d printer, and the last on a laser cutter. I was assigned on the team of the laser cutter.  our first assignment was to create some sketches on what we may hope to make with the laser cutter. our materials would be the wood, which was about a quarter inch thick, adobe illustrator, which we used to design the item, and of course the laser cutter, which actually cut the material. after the machine finished cutting the material we designed we then would assemble the pieces to make a finished product.
